I feel like this is an under appreciated part of Sydney. The bird life is amazing and the water from the river is a powerful force. Public access to the river is limited, though and until that changes, it is hard to see lots of people coming to check it…

16-Glenorie_to_Cattai
A walk though regions foreign to me. Lovely Yellow bloodwood and Teretacornis forests at Cattai Creek. Quite a long walk at 16.5 km but worth the effort! Only say 7 other people not in cars!

Enjoyable walk through the hills district in Sydney. Lots of bird life at the start, red gums and blue gums along the way. A pie at the bakery to finish.

Rochedale_Preists-Gully
A made up walk in a new place. Some older suburbs and new ones, some remnant or regrowth forest and a parkway along the Gully. A lovely morning out and about. Track is a bit tricky to find at the top of Priests Gully path.

Girrahween Res - Wolli Loop
A favourite local loop with 4 seasons in one day. The architectural mashup of Earlwood, the lovely Willi Creek Reserve,, high rise urban in Willi Creek and the Cooks River.

13a-St_Ives_Chase_to_Mt_Colah
A fairly tough walk but plenty to see and enjoy. Komoot says 14km but others said 15 km. Watching the creek fill out and deepen to Bobbin Head where the marina contains some huge boats. Then leaving the water and following the ridge back to the suburbs with spectacular views…

A stunning walk so close to home. Very few people, lovely and varied landscapes and vegetation. A little creek crossing for added fun and some very steep bits.
