About Strampelpfade

Den Rob Roy Way in Schottland:

Auch als Collection hier auf Kommod: komoot.de/collection/958845/-rob-roy-way?ref=undefined
2020 sind meine Pläne dem Virus zum Opfer gefallen, aber neue hinzugekommen:
Verschoben auf 2022: Hebridian Way in Schottland.
Verschoben: Lee Trail und Eisleck Trail ind Luxemburg/Belgien.
Gemacht: Soonwaldsteig: strampelpfade.de/category/heimat/hunsrueck/soonwaldsteig

The Hönnetalbahn is just great for getting to one of the many great hikes in Balve/Neuenrade. I like going to Sansouci and going back to Menden. Yesterday we only drove to Binolen because we wanted to have some peace and quiet, and that's how it was. It was full up to the Feldhof Cave, after that we

When I discover new hiking signs in front of the front door, I get curious. A new access path to the forest route! Where is the way? Where does it meet the forest route?

The course is a bit crazy, and whether you actually have to walk the Waldemei on forest roads, no, there are nicer alternatives. But

The third day on the JOG Trail, the last day with a full backpack and almost all the time along the sea. This time we didn't go through Enbo but stayed on the trail. Luckily we didn't encounter any cows in the Coul Links and the highlight was an estimated 100 seals lying on the sandbanks at Loch Flee

Day 2 on the John o' Groats Trail. Actually, I had planned to go the first 3 stages from Inverness to Tain, because we sort of skipped them 3 years ago. But somehow I felt like going to the beach because the weather was sunny. I also really wanted to go to the beach in Durness with Mozart and show him

The most difficult part for my dog today seemed to be crossing the Kessock Bridge, a motorway bridge, but we mastered it well and got to the other side, the Black Isle. Up a narrow path with a magnificent view over the Beauty Firth and Inverness. Yes, we are back on the JoG Trail, narrow paths, sometimes

Day 7 and the last stage on the Great Glen Way started late because Sarah from the Eco campsite served me a coffee at 9. Then we went towards Inverness with a fabulous view over the northern landscape to a long stretch of forest. After we crossed the canal one last time, a beautiful park on the River

Day 5 started out on tarmac in, and out of town, the sun is shining. Luckily it went up the mountain through shady, green, damp forests. After that, forests and moorland alternate. The eco campsite Abriachan is awesome, even if you don't camp, you should definitely take the fork and let yourself be spoiled with drinks and cake.

Day 5 started above Invermoriston at my campsite and continued uphill to the Viewcather, and further up to a small wall (see picture at 9.93km). A great stopping place for my breakfast and a wonderful view of Loch Ness. Then it went down a bit again, a bit on a forest road and then through a beautiful

On day 4 I took the low route as I wasn't sure if I could climb up to Invermoriston and then find a decent campsite (that was the plan) and do the high route. I would have, but getting angry doesn't help, because it was nice down there too, and always close to Loch Ness. In Invermoriston there would

Day 3 was rainy and a bit boring at times. Luckily there were always nice views of Loch Oich. There were hardly any ships on the way from Oich Bridge. Alternation resulted from short detours to the left, because you walk between the canal and the river, so to speak. In Fort August the locks are 100
