Today is Bat Night, the 30th already. Natuurmonumenten organized a walk to see these interesting animals. That seemed like something different to discover, so I had signed up.

The Amsterdamse Bos, constructed between 1934 and 1970, was today the setting for a surprising walk. So close and yet never been here before. The walk starts at the parking lot near the Dachau monument. As the maximum parking time here is 3 hours, I start it at the parking lot of restaurant 'De Bosbaan

Tried a new area again. It won't make it to my top list. A large part of the view is industrial background. However, it was wonderful to be out again and walk through the dunes and forests. There was a strong wind, which provided a nice cooling effect. The legs have been put to good use again.

Lovely into the woods this morning. The temperature is still pleasant and it's nice and quiet when I arrive early at the parking lot. It became a loop around Ouderkerkerplas on this windy day. Wonderful to get some fresh air along the water with the seagulls beautifully soaring on the thermals. On the extended loop, the sheep found it very interesting to be photographed. Nice to have been out and about again.

The alarm clock went off early. I wanted to beat the heat. It was therefore nice and cool for a refreshing morning walk. Added bonus, it was wonderfully quiet on the street. I hardly saw a soul, if you don't count the birds. There were plenty of them and I enjoyed their morning song.

Discovered the path of Kamp Amersfoort via another komooter. Walked a nice loop in the area with the sun shining.
Afterwards, visited the museum itself. All those stories, so impressive. Highly recommended to go there.
