After sweating in Chichén Itzá, we continued to Cenote Oxman.
A large open cenote with access via stairs.
You also had the option to swing on a rope over the cenote and "jump" into the water. This was a huge challenge for me and I have to say that I definitely belong to the stairs faction 😂🙈.

Today we visited the sacred Mayan site of Chizén Itza.
It was very impressive.
(and of course warm)
For me, it was the third, and for my Peter, the second wonder of the world.
Our guide Toni picked us up at the hotel at 7 a.m. and drove us directly to the Mayan site. On the highway, there were climbing

Later in the day, we had the honor of seeing truly wild turtles on our snorkeling tour. In the bay of Akumal, you can admire them because of the seagrass that grows there.

This Mayan site is the only one by the sea. Beautiful view and a dreamlike number of iguanas. Everywhere you look, they are sitting in the meadows, trees, and ruins.

Today there was a guided tour through Playa del Carmen.
We were taught an incredible amount of background knowledge.
It is really great to walk through the colorful alleys and learn a lot.

Komoot lost the connection in between, so a part of the tour is missing.

After we had fortified ourselves at the Legií Bridge, we continued towards Pier 17 for our boat tour with dinner into the sunset.
Afterwards, we took the tram back to the hotel.

From the hotel by subway to Florenc, from there by bus to the museum and then on foot past Wenceslas Square (construction site) to Legií Bridge. Komoot ended the tour there, which is why it continues with another tour.

The village of Valladolid is actually a picturesque village surrounded by jungle.
Since the weather wasn't kind to us here, we only walked a mini-loop and made our way back to the hotel.
A beautiful and exhausting day is now behind us and we are looking forward to bed.
