Today we took advantage of the beautiful weather for a long-planned hike. We started at the Biesern sand pit. We continued via Seelitz through the beautiful Erlbach Valley to Kolkau. From there, we returned to Biesern via Zöllnitz. It was a wonderful hike. 🥰

Since we had rented the bikes (or rather, cucumbers) for two days, we went on a short tour to Barth on Sunday. A quick stop at Stalag Luft Barth, a former prison camp for pilots. Depressing.
Continuing on sandy paths through the forest, this led to a meadow path – barely passable for bikes with trailers

We finally managed a long weekend with a rooftop tent on the Baltic Sea. ☺️ A bike tour with rental bikes was planned. We started at the Pruchten nature campsite. The dogs were stowed in the trailer. The ride to Zingst was annoying because there were tons of cyclists going in all directions. In Zingst

Last week, I did a short test run. Today, a longer run. It went well. There was only a commotion in the trailer when other dogs were spotted. 😉 I wouldn't have been able to do it without the Stromer, though – 38 kg Holly and a 12 kg trailer... Jack was out with Ikki in "bio mode." 👍🏻

Finally, we were able to go canoeing again. We equipped our SUP boards with seats and traveled along the abundant waters of the Vereinigte Mulde River from Grimma to Wurzen. Little ringed plovers, lapwings, sand martins, bee-eaters, and all sorts of other creatures above and below the water's surface

Also nun heute…

The weather was glorious for the holiday, so a short bike ride was planned. We started at the Bleiche in Rochlitz. We cycled through Döhlen along the Mühlental valley, past the Ober-, Nieder-, Tränke-, and Obstmühle mills to Arras. From there, we followed the "Waldheim Rochlitz Railway" cycle path to
