Wandering harpist, long-distance cyclist, and seeker of quiet miracles.

Pedaling a bike I call my "Camel named Clyde", exploring trails (sometimes metaphorical ones), chasing open roads, collecting good stories, and seeking the kind of silence that lets the soul breathe...

I always bring musical instruments with me for those special moments and soon I plan to engineer a way to carry a small harp when I can —and record whatever comes out of those moments. Much of my music is born from the saddle, along with the occasional affirmation whispered to myself when the miles get heavy. I'm not racing, not chasing KOMs—just moving through the world with curiosity and a little music.

If you like slow-burn adventures, roadside epiphanies, and the idea that a bike ride can be a kind of pilgrimage… come along.

Clyde’s already rolling.

-- 2026 update
The surgeries are over and I officially have permission to train for the big rides that were so crewely denied us in 2025. To be able to make the most of this year and get myself back into proper working order, I'm training regularly and so you are going to see a lot of shorter runs (under 20 miles) for a few weeks and we will be moving up to 50 + as my strength returns. It's the end of january as I write this and it's cold. February in northern utah is usually colder... BAH!!! I want to be ready when the snow melts in the mountains so I have no time to waste! I've got my cold weather gear and We're already having a ball scrambling in the Icy and muddy roads & trails!

This was a great redemtion trip for denese. I had to leave her in the bird refuge after she bonked hard 5 miles short of finishing that ride and I had to come back with a van to fetch her. Thanks to Ken, she was well cared for and protected from the awakening mosquitoes while I was racing home (LOL). -Those mosquitoes could carry off a small child if you're not watching out! There were stiffer winds today so we opted to take advantage of the predominantly north bound winds and had a great ride as the gusts were pushing us home. 30 miles is getting easier and we will be pushing Denese to 40 miles soon! The goal is 50 and then we will see if we can start doing it on continuous days instead of taking rest days. This is in anticipation for some epic rides we intend to make this summer, Bike Packing hundreds of miles across the midwest. Denese and I were riding 50 mile trips last year but we were sidelined about midsummer with surgeries and health scares so it feels like we're starting over after a long period of convalescence... But we're getting it back!

This was a great ride through semi reasonable temperatures and only light drizzles. This is one of my favorite routes, for training up for the season with a lot of fun things to see on the way and little to no traffic.

This was a great cold weather ride! Starting in Riverdale, It’s always a treat to take the Ogden Parkway and pick up some goodies at the old rainbow Gardens (now the greenery) and race back to Riverdale before dark.

Feb - 3 This was another fun warm up for the upcoming season. We're both recovering from our respective injuries and surgeries, blowing the dust out of our lungs and the butter out of our veins... This is a really fun rout and the bear river bridge is always a treat. We're working back up to 50+ miles in a day for some longer overnight adventure trips -- and this one was 26. next ride should be between 30 and 35.
