I’m glad I went because I saw beautiful things that I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. It was cold and my glasses only blocked some of the wind. I warmed up and I felt good.

I rode past harvesters working a pumpkin patch. The weather in September is beautiful and the water is so peaceful. This route is very chill.

Nice and easy with a couple downhill spots. The highway has a forced exit to another highway with a sign indicating you can’t continue on it. This was probably at the on ramps of Desert Color Parkway to SR7. We just went with it since we didn’t know the route well. This leg comes into the South end of Saint George bypassing the canyon that I-15 winds through. It’s a good route.

On the relay, this leg happens at night. I was going about 20 mph (speed) when the backside of the tractor trailer dump truck was illuminated temporarily by a passing car. It took me a few seconds to process what I saw and now couldn’t see at all. I was grateful for the passing car at that moment because it gave me time to think about it before I had to make a decision and since I couldn’t see anything for most of the ride it was a miracle. There were very few cars on that road at that time of day.
