Begonnen haben wir die kleine Bergwanderung am Parkplatz im Ortsteil Sonnen von Bad Kohlgrub.
Auf guten Wirtschaftswegen zieht der Weg durchaus mit kräftigem Anstieg hinauf auf verschiedene Almen, bis direkt zu einer der schmalen Skipisten unterhalb des Sessellifts der Hörnlebahn. Glücklicherweise ist der Sessellift wegen Renovierungsarbeiten momentan außer Betrieb.
