Nice and smooth gravel, you can ride this route all year round but it's best avoided in rainy weather or on super hot days as there are so few trees that you'll have the sun beating down on you.

I almost always do the same out-and-back because it keeps me off-road – the alternative involves too much

Graciela says there are so many reasons to love this route: gorgeous gravel, easy-going terrain, and the best way to fill a 2-hour window.

It is a route that does not accumulate much elevation, so you can make it as hard as you like by riding faster. Most of the route is on wide dirt tracks with some

This is Graciela's chilled route for days when she's short on time. After all, who doesn't enjoy a quiet gravel route and good breakfast?

The starting point is in Kapelmuur, where you can have a specialty coffee, buy any essentials you need for your bike, or even get it checked over by the mechanics if

Rolled out of town on gorgeous bike paths then hit the XC ski tracks, non-stop ups and down, brilliant 'locals-only' vibe to the singletrack that was superlative.

      Really, really rated the route.

Race day finally rolled around and we couldn't have been luckier with the weather. Gorgeous route (although we were riding too fast to properly enjoy it). Really, really varied - smooth gravel, loose gravel, new gravel, pine needle-carpeted XC ski tracks (personal fave), farmyard double track, forest

An amazing route. Definite highlights were going through the woods on the rooty doubletrack then across the military zone with the hard-packed sand. Great bike paths to start and end the ride. 10/10.

Such a ridiculously good and varied loop from Fiskars that was inspired by Nordic Gravel Series. Had a coffee in Billnäs at the old industrial area after around 40km then gorgeous (hillier) gravel back to Fiskars for lunch.

Only short sections of tarmac. All types of gravel.

Gorgeous route, would have liked to have seen more views of the water though. Most beautiful stretch was the final 15 km, which we fortunately rode twice. Great mix of surfaces.

Started at the idllyic Söderlångvik gård and took a mixed route to Storfinnhova gård where there is an age-old smoke sauna. Rare eXperience, even for Finnish people. The buffet at the end of the ride was exceptional!

Setting off from Cykel City, we were out on the gravel within a few kms and then barely touched any tarmac until we were on our way back into Stockholm to finish the ride at Cykel Cafe Le Mond.

The gravel was spectacular – some ingenious routing from teammate Daniel – and a really fast and flowing course
