Climbing the Guffert again after almost exactly 31 years felt good. I can still do it 😉, even though the descent was clearly noticeable in my knees. It was worth it, it was a perfect day!

Amazing, what a view you get from this small summit! You could even see the Zugspitze in the distance. If you like a bit of scrambling and want to use your hands while hiking, this is the right place.

Not only the largest terminus station, but overall an imposing structure with magnificent entrance halls and an impressive transverse building in front of the platform area. The positive overall impression is rounded off by the very informative museum track. A real highlight of Leipzig!

Unimaginable how it looked during open-pit mining. Now it is an idyll for many animals, thanks to large protected areas. And for humans, a retreat on, in, or around the water. A good, wide paved path offers plenty of space, but on a day as hot as today, it was also an additional heater.
