Another glorious day for walking, although the last part was a bit too hot.
The path was near the Military Road till we got to Heddon-on-the-Wall, but this didn't disturb us (apart from the first short section near Robin Hood Inn that was very close to the road).
We were pleasantly surprised by the stretch

Glorious day for walking!
The route was easy, and we had magnificent views of the beautiful English countryside. However, the paths were parallel to the Milatory Road. On the whole, it was OK, but there are some sections where the path is narrow and close to the road with fast cars and lorries.

Shortest walk of the tour, but steep inclines up and down at the beginning. Good walking weather.
Went past the 'Sycamore Gap' location. Unfortunately, this famous tree was felled last year by idiots 😕. But the good news is that new shoots are popping up, so there will be limited recovery.
After the

A strenuous walk that was rewarded by lovely views and interesting Hadrian's Wall remains on a perfect day for walking.
Coffee breaks at Walltown Visitor Centre (coffee, books, and t-shirt) and Cawfield Quarry.
Finished at Twice Brewed pub with food and drinks. Perfect day.

Stayed at The Fleece, a lovely hotel at Ruleholm, and took a bridleway to Hadrian's Wall Walk, getting muddy and wet feet.
Nice teabreak at Walton Village. Bought a t-shirt and jumper at The Haytongate Hut.
The walk was longer than expected, so we got to our destination, The Hollies on The Wall in Gilsland

Nice easy walk, but mainly on quiet roads. The non-road tracks were very muddy in places. We had a break at the Eden golf course.
To avoid possibility muddy tracks close to the river, we stayed on the road near the end, but it led to a busy road. We only had to walk a few hundred metres next to it, but

A long flat walk with nice views. Only one chance of getting refreshments on the way, which we gladly took at the Greyhound in Burgh by Sands and avoided a heavy shower.
The route was quite muddy towards the end, near the river. No evidence of the Hadrian's Wall on this section.

Walking in Berlin towards the river and the main station area on a very hot day. Decided not to go into a museum, but to relax in the shade sitting on a deck chair listening to music, drinking beer, and watching boats go by instead.

Nice, sunny, and not too hot - perfect for walking. Long but easy walk. As always, it seemed like the end would never come. Couldn't see the tower of Segedunum until we were very close.
We were pleasantly surprised by the beginning of the walk which we thought would be next to roads and industry, but
