Not sure what's happing with Komoot compass. Tried a few things but all of a sudden not accurate and as much as I wish...I didn't walk on water !
I've been Coniston twice but walked up old man and also Wetherlam . Never walk the shore and it's a pleasurable low level walk with a stunning back drop.

The map has gone daft !!! I started from the bus stop that takes you to thirlmere dam. On one side and cross's over to do the start of this walk. I loved it. Easy climb up a craggy rocky path and the views are stunning over St John's Vale towards Blencathra and looking back at Thirlmere and towards

Having a bit of navigation trouble with Komoot. Allow 1.5 hours walk each way .Its mainly a well marked gravel path off main road on the way to Hawkshead . Worth a visit . Not much inside but nice walk to it and some walks from it including to Windermere shoreline . Cafe food quite expensive . Sandwich

Took the opportunity of the better weather window to get some part sunny view before the rain. Set off from bus stop crossing the dam . Took 45 mins to reach the top. Allow an hour , I was rushing ! At least 25 minutes is a fairly steep rugged almost stream like path. The last 10 mins is a luxury man

A spectacular one way trip from Ambleside centre to Dungeon ghyll and last bus back to Kendal. Allow 5 and half hours at a steady pace or start at Elterwater and allow 3 hours. Nice easy walk from Ambleside to Elterwater . Then it gets more rugged and for the reasonably fit up to Lingmoor and Side Pike

Nice calm warm but cloudy day. Ideal for long 5 hour up. N down and scramble. Beautiful scenery and cafe at Honister is well worth a visit. I decided to do a loop to Black Sail valley pass the youth hostel then climb up behind Haystacks. Scramble there is fun. My second time. Most of the surrounding
