After lunch, the second stretch of Day 4 - and the final riding day - took me briefly along the Attersee, then via Vöcklabruck and Redlham to Wels. The section between Redlham and Wels followed the Ager river to the Traun, providing a peaceful and relaxed finish to the tour.

The first stretch of Day 2 was a bit cooler, but it turned properly hot again around midday. To avoid tackling the climb to the Tauern road tunnel in that heat, I opted to take the train through the Tauern Railway Tunnel from Spittal instead, heading onward to Bad Gastein.

Along the Drau cycle path through the Carinthian Rosental, heading west. Scenery aside, it certainly wasn't the best day for long distances. With temperatures reaching nearly 40°C shortly after midday on the country lanes, this cycling day came to an earlier end than initially planned.

Wienerwald Loop in Search of the Sun | Weekend Rides Vienna & Surroundings
Went out for a ride and finally found the sun in Maria Raisenmarkt (i'm pretty sure that's where it's hiding in winter). Really enjoyed the fine road L4007 and L4004 from Bad Vöslau towards Alland.
