It was supposed to be a tour from Vienna to Mariazell, but Taranis didn't mean well with us. With constant rain, wind and quite low temperatures for the time of year, a trip to Mariazell on Whit Sunday was not an option anymore. We had booked the hotel well in advance and cancellation was no longer possible

After a short climb up the “Kleiner Semmering”, make sure you take the turn-off from Annagasse in Breitenfurt West onto the single trail down to the forest road.
