Das letzte Stück der Wanderung ist anspruchsvoll und sollte nur bei gutem Wetter gemacht werden.

The Morne Seychellios Trail requires surefootedness and time. We are fairly fit and took five hours to complete the entire route up and down, including a break at the summit (a pleasant temperature, but a bit humid, with a light shower along the way). The trail has several small climbing sections and is very slippery in places, especially in the last third. The summit is often covered in clouds, meaning it can be quite humid due to fog and rain, even if it's dry further down. Sturdy footwear and plenty of water are essential. The Trois Frères Trail is easy to hike, but you can't reach the summit; the trail ends a little lower at a viewpoint just below the summit. This section took us about an hour.

The hike is beautiful, but challenging. ⚠️There is a great danger of getting lost on the red marked route⚠️ Please be aware before starting the hike that the red area marked in the photos of the tour is very difficult to navigate, and the path is difficult to find even with a good GPS. This is due to the relatively large number of fallen trees there. I therefore recommend taking the other route both ways - there and back. The red-marked route also runs along a watercourse with some swampy areas. We were there at the end of the dry season; during the rainy season, parts of the trail may be difficult to pass. On both route's: the ability to navigate with GPS (offline map) is a mandatory requirement. Phone and internet connections are almost nonexistent on the trail. The terrain is challenging and the rocks slippery, especially when it's wet and rainy. Bring plenty of water and wear appropriate clothing/shoes. Good physical fitness and experience in hiking is highly recommended.
