Great weather and a large turnout for a steady ride through lanes to St Annes Head & cake at Angle. Then back to Milford.

Park at Machen Village Hall (free). Head over the river and away you go. Some mud, few gnarly bits and short steep climb. Nice little route worth doing as is, or adding to a longer route. OK for gravel.

Parked at Bryn Bach park (free), soon hit rough ground, a mechanical breakdown, a fixe and off again. Quarry is nice but hit wrong turn ended up on green tracks in cleat pedals - aweful in places. MBT more sensible and diversion down to the resvoir would be better but suspect this was another muddy

Nice tarmac, with gravel through army range. We did it on road bikes with good tyres - no problem with punctures.
Like
