(More than) One Way Home
This ride is humbly(?) dedicated to Sarah Ruggins (One Way North), I'm in love with her determination but not her tattoos.
A ride to Medina along any Cañadas we could find en route, Steve showed me a new, technical (in that I had to stop several times) singletrack over Medina…

Jerez - Levante Allsorts
We drove to Jerez to escape the strong levante around Conil, it wasn't much better further north. The ride across Jerez then on to Mesas de Asta on gravel trails through vineyards was good. A break at Venta el Cotito was excellent value. We tried to follow a route west…

Riders on the Storm
The forecast was for light rain except when it was heavy and occasionally it was, both. Postponed the 10 o'clock RV at Repsol then had to reschedule twice. Steve arrived soaked, drowned rat style.
In hindsight we would have cancelled at the time but a ride is a ride is…

Ruta de Sesenta-seis km y una Caída
A beautiful spring day, cool, light breeze, wild flowers, a 70km route planned. Breakfast at our favourite Vejer desayunaria, then came the single-track, some gravel, sandy sections and washed-out gullies. JC took a fall, twisted a leg, looks like a torn ACL, so we limped onwards, called my SIL who…

The Famous Three go Exploring
Forecast warm and windy but no one warned us it would be still be muddy. Became entangled in a group of youngsters from Chiclana, waded through some muddy patches, café y mollete in Los Naveros. The trail from LN to Pago was 15km of down-wind with Steve pushing as hard…

The tide is turning?
Thought we were en route riding some nice trails & gravel but we were turned back and kinda lost our way.... but all's well that ends.

Further than the crow flies.
Me: you're unfit therefore you ride - Steve: you ride ergo you are fit. Today I was between a rock and a hard place - Steve and a sore rib! No photos, a combined route, one stop, a week to recover.....

Day 2 Sierra eMTB
Simon, our guide made me take everything off the bike, we added new grips and he gave me a few riding tips. Some exciting trails up here around Ojen, Alhaurin and down to Fuengirola

Day 1 Sierra eMTB
A day of eMTB frivolity in the Málaga hills. Tiring, challenging but a lot of fun. Strangely walking has become a challenge this evening.

South on a Sunday
Just the average charge around the countryside, mostly we stayed out of any serious mud. Last day of carnaval so plenty of people around.

Carnaval en Cádiz
A road ride mixed with some gravel, spiced with a dash of mud & puddles. On the way we realised it was Carnaval, difficult to give a sense of the numbers pouring, driving, walking into the city. A lot of costumes, colours and Carnaval crackpots but all were calm &…

Muddy, not up to your knees muddy but muddy enough. Had to get Steve home in time for the Abu Dhabi F1 GP.

A Non-Flying Day
Steve and I drove to Arcos for a change of scenery, to get away from the wind and watch some of the 7th FAI World Paramotor Slalom Championships at Bornos. We failed. It was too windy to fly, it was for some of the time too windy to ride, the…

Variation in e ♭
Vlado & I met Steve at the Repsol gasolinera then we just followed our front tyres. Breakfast in San Fernando was dire and the route was a variation on many trails in our barrio. No photos so I've added a few from Huelva.

Hot, windy and moderately Hilly
An early start, out the door around 7 for the meet up at Repsol, coffee then off we go. Wind picking up, heating up, the Cañada going up. A long dusty trail of 65km before we stop for brunch. Glad to get home, out of the sun and wind, because…
