That's enough hills for one day 😄
Headwind out, tailwind home, just as it should be 😄. Brightening up as I left home but there was a heavy drizzle in Ilkley, nothing to cause any upset. Very warm and sunny by the time I got back to Harrogate. Now to sort out the lazy piston in the rear brake😵💫

A wee ride tae Pocklington
Lightly overcast but bright. Light to moderate westerly winds. Experimenting with a different fuelling and resting regime - approx 40km intervals. Legs complaining more than usual today. Photo of sunrise taken about an hour or so before I left home, I just had to share it😉

Masham Bedale Boroughbridge
A cold, damp and thick fog start. An unscheduled stop at Gregg's in Ripon for a warming coffee and a muffin sugar rush. Sun came out at Gruwelthorpe and thankfully stayed out. Still somewhat chilly though. A pleasant spring ride overall.

Sherburn and Tadcaster
Funny old day with the wind. Forecast was for light S/SE, however it felt like a constant headwind for the first 80% of the ride. After a long and relaxed break at 81km, chatting with 2 other older generation cyclists, the wind sorted itself out and gave me a much needed push home😊

Leg loosener after 10 days in Turkey
Blustery south winds, very mild and sunny. Could have been back in Turkey except for the wind🤣 Ride finished at Spa Cycles for new tyres.

To the Castle (Kale)
...and yes, we did come back down! Stunning views all the way up. Rough paths winding their way through the cool shade of pine trees. Well worth the effort 😃 The switch back road looks to be the local hill climb, see level to 190m and back down to see level. East to west sides of the peninsula.
