Stayed dry all evening in the woods Absolutely stunning bluebells and greenery 😍 Evening more stunning in the bike lights in the dark 😊 Greasy sniper roots lay in wait 🫣 Great company back out with Fran and a bonus bump into and ride with Jack now he's back from bikepacking in Spain, very jealous 🤩

Absolutely stunning in the local woods 😍 Tired legs and brain meant it was just a cruise with some chatting after bumping into freinds . Full suspension meant for a lovely plush rooty ride, very enjoyable and time to think 😊

Wow, what a great route 😁 Lots of absolutely beautiful stunning trails with epic veiws across the Severn Valley and Cotswolds. Shocking how many of these fantastic trails I haven't done in my 40 years of mtb. I was gobsmacked how sweet a lot of them were and real gems. Minor inconvenience was the new road layout at Birdlip radio tower had just had fresh tarmac, a chat with the road workers and they let me be the first to use the new 417 Birdlip Bypass. I'm famous at last 😆 Wind made this ride tougher than it should have been and beautiful sunshine in the morning turned to hail and torrential rain storms in between the beautiful hot sunshine in the afternoon. All in all a corker of a route and had a fantastic day on the Titanium hardtail 👌

Very chilly but absolutely stunning evening late trail ride 👌 Just what the Doctor ordered after work and cooking mums tea and doing her housework . Felt absolutely exhausted but throughly enjoyed it . Managed to get a decent loop in on some favourite local trails including a cracking techy downhill section to get the adrenaline pumping 😊 Home in the dark bloomun freezing 🥶😁

Plan 1 Welsh Mtb bikepacking abandoned with weather warnings ⚠️ Plan 2 Wiltshire KAW bikepacking abandoned on site due to adverse weather ⚠️ Plan 3 shorter Wiltshire Wessex Ridgeway to Stonehenge abandoned and head for the cover of some woods behind the Ridgeway trail for the evening as the headwind was dangerous and impossible. Nestled in the safety of a small wood out of the stormy winds was really sweet . Cooked up my chicken and black bean curry 🍛 😋 with copious cups of tea and retired early to my new tent held to the ground with big strong sticks as the soil was too loose for pegs. Slept listening to the horrendous winds going over the top of my little wood, a Munkjac and pheasants kept me company all night calling every 5 minutes or so with the distant bark of a fox was absolutely beautiful and quiet relaxing knowing I wasn't alone 🤗 Woke in the morning and decided to call it a day, nothing lost, nothing gained but safe and happy 😊 Sometimes things just aren't meant to be however hard you try . Discovered on the way home my rear wheel was pinging and on return inspection noticed lots of loose spokes. Maybe this was a sighn not to stray on a big 4 day adventure, who knows but I am a firm believer in these things happen for a reason 😉 On to the next adventure 😁

My route did not disappoint, very tired legs at the start from Wednesday and Thursdays rides I think. Soon sorted themselves out and throughly enjoyed the endless fantastic single-track and trails. Bluebells are out in places and the wild garlic and foliage a beautiful green carpet. Specialized is such a Godsend on lots of the rooty and hoof trodden trails as it just floats over like a magic carpet meaning you can still carry your speed and momentum in the rough 😉 Lots of lesser known trails ridden are just gems and long may they be hidden or out of reach of the masses 😊 Top ride 👌

Got to say what a fantastic evening on some of the finest technical trails in the local Stockend and Standish woods 😊 Really pushing the pace on the Specialized Evo Expert Carbon. Using the Ultra endurance to keep the pace very high whilst having great fun and a couple of gnarly switchback downhill trails chucked in for good measure 😁 Tons of dear roaming around too, stunning evening 😍

Minus 3 up in the woods 🥶 Great ride though and trails riding perfect with some air to be had off some of the smaller jumps 👌 Quick high tempo blast knocking the local segment leader boards to pieces and hopefully losing a bit of my belly 💪😆

Rode over to the beautiful Forest of Dean and rode some favourite trails on the Specialized Evo Expert Carbon like the Piggies, Dr Johns, Staple Edge ect, threw in a couple of Black downhill switchback trails for good measure to keep me on my toes 😀 💩 Fantastic day with trails a dust bowl and did struggle a little as I got back into Glosvegas due to lack of food 🫣 Don't think the ploughed feild helped both way as it was like riding on sponge 🧐 What beautiful weather too, short sleeves all afternoon 😍.
