Fantastic chilly ride out on some of the best techy single-track you could wish for with Fran. Out to Tynsdale monument for a lunch stop a remember a freind who was the Legend Rich Mark Avery who was taken from us far to early π What a beautiful day in the most beautiful County π

Fantastic conditions if a tad chilly and a fair bit of climbing on this one with such epic single-track π Was nice to have some great company on such a chilly day with a smashing coffee stop π Heated socks and Gortex glove liners saved another day, so toasty. Great to be back out on the Specialized Evo Expert carbon as it's like riding a lightning fast magic carpet π

Looking at some hidden gems I rode on the Middle Earth route. Didn't know they existed originally so it was nice to go back and have a look on a much cooler sub 30 degree day π Cut back in to what must be some of the best single-track trails in the country on the way back π Even got some air off one of the jumps on the bikepacking rig π Chilly day made very bearable by Gortex glove liners, heated socks and Shimano winter boots πͺ

How beautiful is this route with some tough sections but mostly forgotten secret trails running alongside the beautiful stream and leading to the Stunning Miserden Park lakes with it's strange but pretty green hew π Awre inspiring scenery that melts all your worries away. I feel so calm at home here it's unbelievable. Bit chilly at times and glad I took my Endura Gortex glove liners, I needed them π The photos don't do this any justice but do give an insight into the beauty ππ Feeling tired today after digging and groundwork at Castle Tuffley yesterday so cut it a bit short π

Muddy er Muddy er ummmm Muddy π Absolutely stunning reflections in places π Tons of wildlife and super quiet π€« π Why oh why is there so much rubbish in our hedgerows on the side of the lanes π€ Makes my blood boil, pop bottles, beer cans, whisky bottles π€ Does everyone throw it out the car window, what the crap is going onπ‘ Even on my dog walks I take a bag and litter pic as nobody seems to give a poop.

Gloucester to the Severn Bridge via the muddy leg sapping Severn river bank and home via the lanes and muddy canal bank . I've been wanting to do this for ages and why I decided on today Friday after all the rain and floods who knows π«£ Great to have Fran with me for part of the ride and a lovely coffee at Berkeley before she peeled off π€ More mud and hoof trodden soft grass than you could shake a stick at but absolutely stunningly Beautiful π My bike is a muddy wreck and I'm not sure if my legs will work in the morning π¬ Achievement Unlocked, Went full Retard π€ͺππ

Fantastically beautiful sunny day after the early downpour . Muddy wasn't the word in places making the canal bank a slog but worth it with the amazing veiws and animals π Bump into Mike out on his bike was a bonus π Spam sandwiches and a bag of Walkers crisps relaxing in the sunshine π looking at the awesome veiw out to the Severn Bridge and watching the chocolate milk water swirling around. I could have stayed there all day to be honest. My jelly babies were also taking in the veiw and estuary air π Great way to spend a day off π

Fantastically sunny day and the air was crystal clear being able to see for miles . Conditions were horrendously muddy off road with some tracks a granny gear slog mudbath π© π© Red kites, Buzzards, Weasels, Rabbits, Deer and lots more to be seen π The strangest animal of all was the super rare, happy talking road rider π€π and most walkers were very happy today too, thankfully π What a fantastic day in Beautiful surroundings and my little legs were just about pooped by the time I was home π‘ π

Tyres π
I borrowed a couple of Maxxis Crossmark 2's 29x2.1 Exo TR dual compound tyres for my Titanium hardtail from a freind to do the Solstice Sundowners 100 mile Challenge last year and was pretty impressed with them .
My freind gifted them to me and I used them loads and wore them out.
