Today I loaded the bikes and drove to Lake Starnberg. We parked the car in the free parking lot at Bismarckturm. The descent through the forest is really only recommended for gravel bikes. Otherwise, take a different route for the section to the lake. There are many great villas to see on the east side

You can't avoid elevation gain. When you're then rewarded with beautiful descents, you can look forward to it. Unfortunately, the steep descent at the end of the tour went through the forest with coarse gravel, so you could only ride slowly and had to be very careful not to slip. 🤷🏻♀️

Today we rode some, but manageable, altitude meters. In return, the long descent down to Kochelsee was a lot of fun 🥰 At Walchensee and also Kochelsee there are some nice spots to take a break and cool off in the water.. Gladly bring swimwear

Also today, with the mobility ticket, we bridged the route for free (bikes €3.20) due to construction work and because this stretch between Tenneck and Pass Lueg is not nice (without a bike path on the busy main road in the blazing sun) by train to Golling and drove from there to the parking lot in Salzburg

After a short power nap at Hotel Tiroler Wirt, we drove to Hohenwerfen Castle. With the online ticket, we were able to use the elevator up to the castle. Unfortunately, we were 10 minutes too late for the castle tour. But at 38 degrees, that wasn't a bad thing. There were still other exhibitions to see

Early in the morning (8:30 am) drove to Lichtensteinklamm. With the online ticket, we didn't have to queue at the ticket office and it wasn't too crowded yet. Lots of stairs up and down 😅 Cycling is less strenuous 🤣
But it was worth it 🥰

Short trip to the ski jump stadium and the waterfall. The paddling pool was used extensively at temperatures around 35 degrees 🤣
