Hardly out of Neunkirchen, my hiking trail goes through the forest. I would never have found a turn-off without Komoot. The path is quite overgrown and I pass through forest areas that have hardly ever been trodden.

Black clouds hang in the mountains. But it stays dry until 2:00 PM. Then, however, the first thunderstorm breaks loose. Pilgrimage takes on a completely different dimension for me. I hike from chapel to Heiligenstöckli, repeatedly taking shelter in the altar area.
