Today's day will go down in my hiking history. After a good breakfast, I set off for Ebensee. A photographer stops and asks if I am Christine Thürmer. He insists on giving me a ride for a bit. In the end, he drove the 12 km to Ebensee with me. Also good.

The first mountain stage is coming up. From Faistenau, I hike via Ramsau, then climb relatively steeply up to the Sattelalm. It's the first day in a long time that no rain is forecast. But it's still cool and the snow isn't far away.

The weather situation is still not stable, but I don't want to stay another day in Salzburg. My hike leads me over the Gaisberg to the Zystelalm. Unfortunately, the restaurant is now only open for weddings and birthday parties. At least they have a drinks machine.

I slept wonderfully and when I wake up, the birds are already celebrating. It is a glorious morning and I begin to pack my things. Then there is a rumble and the tent shakes precariously. I jump out of the tent. An orange monster begins to eat my tarp.
