Somerset (Exmoor): Selworthy Beacon, Hurlstone Point & Bossington Hike Minded Group Walk
A third group hike completed with Hike Minded on the Exmoor Coast. A 6.78 mile route starting at Selworthy National Trust car park, uphill through Holincote Combe woodland, onto the summit at Selworthy Beacon and onwards along the South West Coast Path to Hurlstone Point. A small detour onto Bossington Beach before our walk headed back inland through Bossington village via Alleford Plantation to get back to the start at Selworthy.

Herefordshire (Wye Valley): Ross-on-Wye & Penyard Wood (Three Counties Young Walking Group Walk)
A final walk in January and with my own Three Counties Young Walking Group for ages 20-35. An 8.5 mile route starting in Ross-on-Wye and taking in the woodlands above the town at Chase Hill and Penyard Wood. The walk took in the Wye Valley Walk, plus a diversion along the road to Weston-under-Penyard. So much recent rainfall made the route muddy but there were some great woodland stretches.

Devon (Dartmoor): Saddle Tor, Haytor & Hound Tor
A classic Dartmoor walk at just under 6 miles and taking in famous tors Haytor and Hound Tor. A few other tors along the route include Saddle Tor and Holwell Tor. The route was a bit of scramble from Holwell to Hound Tor and it did start off with quite a bit of mist. The weather did clear and thankfully it was a dry winter walk across a wild part of the national park.

Devon (Dartmoor): Bellever Forest
A walk over 5 miles looping through Bellever Forest and climbing up to Bellever Tor before coming back down to Bellever Bridge over the East Dart River. The walk takes in wide forest paths and moorland tracks heading up to the tor. Bellever Forest is a great walk combining the best woodland and moorland landscape Dartmoor offers.
