I have been off-road riding since the 80's in the Yorkshire dales spent many years cycling in sumatra Indonesia since the early 90's and settled in west sumatra where I explored many areas and organised mountain bike tours.
most of my cycling is in the Yorkshire dales and pennine's but have cycletoured all over the UK from end to end. love an adventure and still dreaming of a big adventure
I have a group called bridleways in the pennine's and Yorkshire dales on Facebook where people can share routes.

Kettlewell to Starbotton loop

I did a couple of bridleways on this ride just to tick off the last 2 in wharfedale. First was an up and down to Hag dyke. A steady climb to this old farmhouse. A great downhill.
Then on to Starbotton and a gruelling push up through the woods to…

Leck fell pot holes

After seeing a post on Facebook about a pothole on Leck fell I decided to have a look at a few for myself. Some are amazing deep shafts dropping deep into the earth. Others are just small holes and some are covered shafts. They are all part of a cave…

A few hidden waterfall's and potholes in this gill, some rough moorland brings you to Great Coum. Fantastic views of Whernside, Dentdale and Barbondale. From here following the ridge over the boggy…

Hike Gordale beck to gordale scar loop

Cracking off the beaten track route. Following the path to gordale scar then divert into the stunning gordale beck. Previously I've done this route from the tarn and joined gordale beck from mastiles lane. I was lucky enough to see the beck flowing well and the water was crystal clear.…

HEBDEN GILL LOOP

Another ride on this great route. It's fairly local so good to do when the weather isn't too good. Took the opportunity to do some filming with my drone. See the footage on my Facebook page or bridleways in the Yorkshire dales and pennine's, on Facebook.
