      ### Every Tuesday - between Nidda and Taunus / medium-difficult tour at a moderate pace with small inclines ###
Today we went to the orchards in Kronberg. My highlight: a tree that carried 7 (!!!) different apple varieties - from bright yellow to burgundy.

Like every year, today we went with tour guide Helmut Rösner on the GrünGütel around Frankfurt.Tour description:
The ADFC Frankfurt has been associated with its conception, development and use since the beginning of the GrünGürtel-Radrundweg until today. This cycle path leads us in the green belt around Frankfurt, mostly on car-free paths.
We follow the cycle path from Praunheim clockwise and will visit all 16 stamp stations as part of the action day. From the Niddaradweg we reach the ascent near Berkersheim. It goes over the Lohrberg and Bergen down to the Enkheimer Ried. We continue on the Offenbach side on the Main to Oberrad and then up into the city forest. We pass the Goethe Tower and the Oberschweinstiege and come along the football arena to Goldstein and Schwanheim. We take the ferry to Höchst. Then we follow the Nidda upstream to the starting point.

With ADFC tour leader Bernhard Altert we first drove to Schwanheim and crossed the Main again there. From Sindlingen it went through the fields of the Vordertaunus over Kelkheim to Eppstein. Here we took a longer break 🍰🥤☕️🥐🥗. Further uphill to Schlossborn and after a short descent it went up again 🚵 to Ruppertshain. From there via Königstein and Kronberg back to Frankfurt. The short section through the Opel Zoo 🐫 🐘 can only be pushed, but it is a nice highlight.
      - difficulty ***
A varied tour with a lot of altitude in a region that is not visited very often.

      ### Every Thursday - pleasure cycling in the evening / easy, leisurely tour with occasional short climbs ###Almost completely away from car traffic today we went first to and then through the Frankfurt city forest. Our tour guide surprised us with paths that even some long-standing and experienced tour guides (who sometimes go on our tours privately) were not yet familiar with. Many paths were wide enough that two of us could comfortably ride side by side - but of course only if there was no oncoming (bicycle) traffic and / or pedestrians were on the way!
If you still need inspiration for the next planned renovation of your house - you will definitely find some in the Bischhofsweg. ;-)
Have fun following the tour! Or the next time just go along yourself. :-)

It is always amazing what treasures the tour guides of the ADFC have in store for the participants. This time the program included very special sunflowers: a blend of nature and culture. ;-)
But this tour was very worthwhile not only for these sunflowers! We mainly drove on paved roads, but still away from traffic: a nice opportunity to clear your head.

From the Römer it went through Sachsenhausen first to Neu-Isenburg to the Bansapark. And yes, wedding couples often stand in this white pavilion. ;-) Through a lot of green we cycled to the pole pyramid. The skyline of Frankfurt can also be seen from there!
Next stop: Dreieichhain with castle and beautiful old town.
A few kilometers further, the next highlight: lovingly carved figures in the middle of the forest! Really worth seeing!
The Langener Waldsee was then not far away, as was the Gehspitzweiher, which was our last stop.

      ### Every Thursday - pleasure cycling in the evening / easy, leisurely tour with occasional short climbs ###Today we went from the Römer over the Holbeinsteg over the Main and along the southern bank of the Main. At Schwanheim we crossed the Europa Bridge. It was relaxed through quiet residential areas in the direction and then through the city forest. Shortly before the end of the tour, we paid a little visit to our Goethe Tower. The tour ended at the rowing village in Oberrad.

This racing bike tour by Ulrich Hildebrandt takes us over roads with little traffic, bike paths and asphalt farm roads. On the high street it goes to the Ronneburg. There the mountain fleas can put their skills to the test. After a short break, continue to Lindheim, where you can stop for a break. Then up again over the volcano cycle path to Hohen Strasse and back to Frankfurt.
