Today we did a small loop nearby... at the Hüllweiher near Waller, a small but interesting biotope! A wonderful frog concert could be heard from afar! Beautiful forest with sinkholes, ditches, a clearing, and many wildflowers along the path. It was beautiful!

On yesterday's ride, we discovered another picturesque wine village in Alsace: Bergheim on the Route des Vins. The floral decorations everywhere were also beautiful, perfectly matching the old walls and half-timbered houses. It was a very lovely walk through the town!

A special highlight on our drive to France: the St. Leo Chapel, visible from afar, enthroned on a huge sandstone rock. The Dagsbourg, the Chateau de Dabo, once stood here, but was demolished by Louis XIV. The views all around over the northwestern Vosges and down to the Rhine valley are magnificent.
