The fantastic weather lured us to the Enzenberg near Kastl today. Our path led through a magnificent sun-drenched autumn forest, which repeatedly offered great views of the Kastl monastery castle or the Kuppenalb.

Today we were again in the Ernhofer sand dunes, past the middle and lower Egelsee, which, however, had little water. Wonderful soft paths, beautiful mixed forest with partially very old trees, the sand dunes with the slowly fading heather. We got a bit wet, but the forest smelled all the better for it. It was simply beautiful!

Today our destination was the Ernhofer sand dunes, just in time for the Erica bloom, which is already coming to an end. A beautiful walk through the sun-drenched forest and the magnificent Franconian sand dunes.

Today we got stuck at the Old Canal near Unterölsbach as we drove by. It was really beautiful there, lots of flowers (speedwell, purple loosestrife, yellow water lilies, white and pink water lilies, ...). Many insects were around, but not a single water bird showed itself.
