Una bellissima giornata in compagnia, relax condito da sole, neve e risate! Un percorso con quel minimo di fatica da giustificare un bombardino alla terrazza Solomon 😉. Il paese di Foppolo è effettivamente abbastanza osceno, ora capisco perché non è mai piaciuto all'amico @Davide Algeri 😅... ma se si ha pazienza di passare oltre le piste da sci, tutto cambia e ci tornerò volentieri in estate per completare l'esplorazione di questi luoghi.

Usciti dal bosco, ormai ai piedi del Mt. Carone, ad un certo punto appare improvvisamente un canalone che si risale grazie ad una spettacolare scalinata (circa 250 gradini) costruita nella roccia durante la prima guerra mondiale dagli Alpini: è questo il cosiddetto "Camino", che sale in verticale tra le bianche rocce con l'aiuto di cavi metallici ed alle spalle una stupenda vista sul lago di Garda. Usciti dal canalone si prosegue per dieci minuti tra ruderi di baraccamenti e postazioni militari ed una volta sulla vetta del Mt. Carone la vista si apre sul gruppo del Baldo, il lago di Garda, il lago di Ledro, mentre sullo sfondo svettano il Carè Alto, la Presanella e il gruppo del Brenta. La croce di vetta, molto bella, è dedicata alla fratellanza ed è stata costruita dagli Alpini di Molina di Ledro nel 1990 utilizzando residuati bellici quali filo spinato e gli elmetti dei due eserciti contendenti. Proseguendo sulla cresta verso est per circa 5 minuti si giunge ad un rilievo dove si trovano i resti ben conservati di una postazione d’artiglieria antiaerea. Infatti, durante la Grande Guerra, il Mt. Carone fu considerato di grande importanza strategica per il grandioso panorama che si può godere dalla sua vetta e quindi fu trasformato dai comandi italiani in un grande complesso militare per sbarrare la strada ad eventuali offensive austriache nella zona del lago di Garda.

Il Mt. Corno credo sia il balcone panoramico più bello sul Lago di Ledro. Per raggiungerlo, ci sono diversi punti di partenza e noi abbiamo preferito il Rif. Garibaldi a Tremalzo, per goderci i fantastici colori autunnali degli alpeggi tra Malga Giú ed al Rif. Sant'Anna Cá de Mez. Per il ritorno, abbiamo fatto le creste, lungo il sentiero attrezzato Mora-Pellegrini: si tratta di un sentiero con cavi e scalini in acciaio spettacolare ed avventuroso, tra guglie rocciose e con scorci incredibili sul lago, che con un continuo sali-scendi porta a Cima Pubregn e Cima Caset. Anche se i cartelli lo consigliano, noi non abbiamo avuto necessità del kit da ferrata. Solo un consiglio per chi soffre un pò di vertigini: fatelo, come noi, in salita.
