Zwei Wanderungen habe ich zusammengefügt: Die "Entdeckerschleife Weitblick aufs Ruhrgebiet" von www.neanderland.de sowie eine schöne Runde durchs Asbachtal, die ich mal gefunden hatte. Eine sehr gute Kombination, denn die Entdeckerschleife verschafft tatsächlich großartige Weitblicke, im Asbachtal gibt es dann viel schmale Pfade durch den Wald. Gestartet sind meine Frau und ich beim Bahnhof Velbert-Langenberg (Anfahrt mit der S9 z.B. von Wuppertal), in dem wir fast gefangen waren. Tipp: Ja, es gibt einen Ausgang nach Westen, man sieht ihn nur nicht, gibt auch keine Hinweise; einfach westlichen Bahnsteig weit nach Norden gehen. Aber indem wir dann doch den Umweg über den östlichen Ausgang genommen hatten, bekamen wir einen ersten Eindruck des Ortskerns. Dann geht es aufwärts bis man auf der Höhe wirklich weit ins Ruhrgebiet sieht. Feld und Wald wechseln sich ab, im Asbachtal schließlich geht es über viele schmale Pfade, die teils wohl nur deshalb nicht zugewachsen sind, weil auch die Reiter:innen sie nutzen. Manchmal ist es entsprechend matschig. Auf dem Rückweg kommt man noch beim Modellflugplatz vobei und kann das Zuschauen für einen kleine Erholungspause nutzen. Wenn am Ende noch Zeit ist, bis die Bahn fährt, sollte man noch kurz durch den Ort Langenberg gehen, einige nette bergische Häuser und das gigantische historische Bürgerhaus sind nett anzusehen. Insgesamt eine außerordentlich abwechslungsreiche Tour, einige Stückchen Asphalt, aber nicht wirklich arg viel. Bisschen Kondition und Matschtoleranz sind nützlich.
