Beautiful high path with a view of the Feldberg and Kandel as far as the Glottertal .. The way back, on the partly narrow Kandelhöhenweg, offers some beautiful highlights. The whole panorama can be seen towards the Weisstannenhöhe and Breitnau. Our hiking friend Verena led this tour in an exemplary manner.

Dream tour for advanced. Many thanks to the Komootler, from whom I copied this hike.
It has been a long-cherished wish of mine to hike this side of the embossed valley. Except for the section of the route with the clear cut, an absolutely exceptional tour with a view of the Alps as far as Mountblaunc, on the sunny side of the valley. The off-grid sections are very rough, but easy to find with a bit of orientation upwards. It begins with the signposted hiking trail down to Prägbach. After crossing two small bridges, the path branches off to the right and goes up in serpentines. Now it is easy to follow the route.
A field path leads to a narrow meadow path that leads past old willow beech trees with a view of Präg to a forest path.
At the point where the path ends, you have to scramble up the embankment to get to one of two pre-peaks of the pig's head. At the second pre-summit, wonderful panoramic view over a cirque.

Super nice round. Thanks to the Komootler (s) from whom I copied the tour. Behind the Glotterbad there is a beautiful path that goes steeply upwards. The off-grid parts are normal paths. The path on the former
      Urgraben is particularly beautiful
and very natural. Before you descend again on the forest path, turn right, point down, you can also go straight ahead to the Dilgerhof (Mosthof in the vernacular) for a Vesper (located after the Linderhof). Open from November Thursday to Saturday. Spring - Autumn Monday - Saturday. Wonderful view from the terrace into the Glottertal. The Heizmann family serves homemade bacon, sausage and cheese with farmhouse bread. In winter there is food in the parlor. Splendid with cider and elderberry syrup in the tiled stove and Herrgottswinkel. A schnapps at the end can't hurt either.

Recommended afternoon tour with beautiful views of the Simonswäldertal and the mountains of St. Peter (Platte), Wolfsgrubenkopf 1112 and Hornkopf 1121 m
At the beginning there is a steep ascent to the forest path. Then always slightly uphill to the Elme. Briefly steep descent to Haslachsimonswald. Finally on the dust-free path back, always along the Gutach to the Niederbrücke. A recommendable conclusion in the Café Märchengarten.
(good value for money, friendly staff)

Attention: At the beginning of the hike the path leads through a farm. The passage is forbidden, also because the dog is free running. However, if we asked, we were allowed to go through. The owner also gave us friendly advice on the route. The first half of the tour deserves the grade 1. Great views of the Feldberg and the Dead Man with his ski slopes on the Stollenbach. A private, somewhat secluded hut with seating offers a great resting place with a clear view of the Dreisamtal.
Sometimes lonely, beautiful paths lead up to the Pfisterhäusleberghütte past the little Flaunser. Then it went downhill on wide forest roads, pleasant to walk. On the way there is another nice rest area at a closed hut belonging to the family association. Overall a worthwhile tour. Unfortunately, I haven't found a restaurant for a final stop in Eschbach. Three former businesses are no longer served, which I think is a shame.

Beautiful views of the Kaiserstuhl and the Black Forest. At the starting point, after the last houses, you can park by the walnut trees (Rathausstrasse). The beautiful, large walnuts from these trees can be bought from the farm opposite the church. There other self-made goods are also offered (e.g. lamb's lettuce, eggs, jam) of good quality and very inexpensive.
Be careful, you can easily miss the route from Beckenbirkli down the castle path. From the hiking trail you can see a wooden fence coming down and at the edge of the forest on the left the brown railing of the path that leads down to the village.
A little bit of asphalt, but very varied.
