20260529 Kajak: Sesia (Isola-Varallo)

We are doing a final tour on the Simmen from Heidenweidli down to the church in Därstetten. Aegi joins below the Simmenstein. Most people end the tour in Därstetten at the church in the valley. Aegi and Heinz together with René continue the trip to Erlenbach.
No incidents apart from a deep scratch in Marc's boat.
Flow: 8.5 m³/s

In the early evening, we navigate a short but pretty section of the Simme. We start the ride at Heidenweidli just above the wooden bridge. The water level is also very low on the Simme. We content ourselves with about 8 m³/s.
Heidenweidli Katarakt, Jöriloch and Simmenstein can be navigated without problems

We start our Berneroberland Club Tour with an easy run down the Lütschine below Gsteigwiler. The run is done at low water levels and in very nice weather. Marc and Werner skip this easy section and instead paddle the very difficult section just above the confluence of the Schwarze Lütschine.

After a rather strenuous descent from the height of Pont de l'Abime down to the river. The ride begins on clean water at low to lower-middle water levels with few difficulties, not exceeding WWII-III. The gorge narrows increasingly. After about 5km, there is an unrunnable section which we portage on

Quite high water level on the Soulouise. After a 20-minute approach to the put-in. We enter powerful whitewater. We navigate the key sections without significant problems. It's fun to run this creek again with almost clear water.
As mentioned, we skipped the climb to the ridge.
On other runs, we have started

Before heading north again, we decide to ride the section from yesterday again. With today's 28 m³/s, there were fewer rock touches. However, the holes and waves are a bit more pronounced than yesterday. Katrin, in particular, gets acquainted with them. Unfortunately, she has to get out twice. On the

After parking the cars, we tackle the second part. The difficulties increase slightly. It goes quickly into the valley. After not quite 4km, due to lack of attention, I get into trouble and run into a tree obstacle where I capsize. I get stuck in the water on a branch on my spray deck. I have to take

The start of this section was a bit difficult to find. It is located shortly before the confluence of the Ruisseaux de Gas into the Bés on the left river bank.
Luckily, today is a hot day and the last snow in the surrounding mountains provides some meltwater.
On simple whitewater not above WWII, we head

Running this section with very little water. Alex and Werner run the WWV section, it is definitely runnable. I portage the section as I lack the necessary precision today.
Overall a nice trip, a few more m³/s wouldn't hurt.
Incidents: I portage the five section.

In the evening, a small reconnaissance round. The first kilometer was asphalt, then field and forest paths and some trails. It was more exciting than expected.

After visiting Rassa, I continue cycling further into the valley. At the back by the bridge over the Sorba Fälle, it goes steeply up on very stony switchbacks to the alpine pastures. Along the edge of the terrain, it leads to Alp Pizzo. There are a few stone houses here with a breathtaking view. I enjoy
