Today I wanted to check out the Klidinger waterfall. Of course, it was clear that there was hardly any water falling, but it wasn't supposed to be slippery either. I had to carry my bike down the trail. So it was also clear that this wouldn't be a "standard route" for every day.

Schloss Burg is really worth a detour.

A Komoot route was drawn, modified with heatmaps and Trail View and refined with a bit of a feel for nice routing: Ready is a great round!
It went without strong ascents yet over 1000hm almost exclusively over forest paths with a decent share of trails.
Not particularly challenging, but mostly nicely flowing

Very nice start to the tour.
Between Greimersburg and Klotten the route was really beautiful.
Since I hadn't ridden there before, I didn't know what to expect and was positively surprised.
The middle part was quite road-heavy.
Although there was little traffic, field and farm tracks are nicer.

Another longer round.
Of course, there were a few (few) showers in between.
Despite starting in the largest village in Germany, it was a round with a lot of green and little traffic.

Really brilliant tour today through the Vulkaneifel!
In the best weather, we went through many small stream valleys and had a piece of cheesecake and lead-free wheat beer in Bad Bertrich.
There were some nice trails and many forest paths.
Giving six out of five stars. 😉

Today I briefly dived into the Enderttal and ticked off the first waterfall below the Martental monastery. 😉
After that, it went along the Pommerbach. I didn't know the upper part yet, but it's also very beautiful.
The many bridges in the Pommerbachtal are beautiful, but they also disturb the flow a bit

It was actually supposed to go all the way to Eltz Castle.
My wife complained again... well, at least there was draft beer (even if only Bitburger) at the Ringelsteiner Mühle afterwards. 🍻
