I got to sneak away during my lunch break to get some "special time" with my daughter today. We hiked to our favorite fort and gave her a surprise: dark chocolate!

This was a SOGGY day on soft gravel and sandy roads. Every mile was a brutal battle.
Our drivetrains sounded like death and my legs were absolute toast by the time we got to the car.
I kept wanting to look up a shortcut but we stuck it out and I'm glad that we did.

This was a scouting bikepacking trip for adding a route to bikepacking.com through the forests about 40 minutes from house.
I've seen others ride these roads many times but it was my first time out here.
The variety was fantastic. Lots of places for dispersed camping and many river and creek crossings

A group of 10 guys went up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to do a 4-day bikepacking trip along The Crusher route. That was the craziest mix of terrain I've ever ridden on.
Sleeping on the beach, hike-a-biking through sand and boulders, and the town of Marquette were all beautiful.
Our group got 5 flats

Had a really nice bike overnight as we perfectly straddled the transition from fall to winer. We had green grass on Saturday and woke up to 4 inches of snow on Sunday. I love Wisconsin in the winter and fall. It was just beautiful.
