Another hard ride in the Pennines of West Yorkshire for a cafe stop in Holmfirth via one of the highest points at Wessenden Head. We could not have asked for a better day with bright sunshine and no wind
I highly recommend this route if only for the scenery and the views but be prepared as it will punish

Mad dogs and Yorkshire men go out in the midday sun. A very hot day to go out on the bike but with plenty of fluids and sun screen it was a great ride that I would reccomend.
If you live in the Green Hammerton area give this route a go you won't regret it.

It's been a while since we took a ride out to Bank View Cafe at Langsett as the weather forecast for that day looked good so the opportunity was taken as it meant another climb over the hills of the Pennines to reach our destination.
After a hearty bowl of home made spicy tomato soup and a crusty roll
