Tough on a gravel bike. Avoided the hike a bike crossing the end of the Monsal Trail by taking the Limestone Way and some of the Castleton alternative loop. Had to push a few times on the rocky tracks up to and over South Head but this was made up for by the views and some lovely weather.

Great gravel ride along High Peak Trail and Monsal Trail. One section of hike a bike to get out of the gorge at the end if the Monsal Trail.

Finished the East Devon Trail to Lyme Regis and Charmouth then coastal bridleway and disused railway to Maiden Newton. Coastal bridleway much tougher in this direction and very overgrown in places so ended up pushing the bike in a few places

Joined the route at Axminster via some of the Old Chalk Way. Missed the loop through Exeter and finished at YHA in Beer. Lot of climbs, a few too steep and rocky to ride.

Long, tough day out in the Welsh Mountains, not much flat on this route and almost 10,000 feet of climbing. Bwlch Y Groes is one of the hardest climbs in Britain and not very pleasant. Much nicer are the Hirnant Pass from Bala to Lake Vrymwy, the climb through Dyfi Forest and the mountain road out of Machynlleth.

Nice gravel loop. Follows Old Chalk Path over Bulbarrow (could start this from Cerne Abbas to add more gravel). Then disused railways between Blandford and Wimborne. From Wimborne lots of good gravel including the Roman Road south, Upton Heath and then into Wareham Forest. Final section from Bovington

Tried a few new tracks in Wareham Forest which were fine. Section round Woolsbarrow a bit more lumpy and interesting than all the flat trails.
