Eine wunderschöne, abwechslungsreiche kurze Wanderung, die alles beinhaltet, was meinem Wanderherz gefällt: grandiose Aussichten, herrliche Buchenwälder, knackige Anstiege, steile Stiegen und ein bisschen Kraxelei. Wir haben zum Aufstieg den kürzeren aber steileren Südaufstieg gewählt und sind über den Nordaufstieg wieder hinunter. Startpunkt ist der kostenpflichtige Wanderparkplatz Lilienstein.

Rundweg von Wehlen steil hinauf zur Bastei und über Rathen an der Elbe entlang wieder zurück. Man startet im idyllischen Örtchen Wehlen. Hier kann man kurz über den kleinen Marktplatz schlendern und einen Blick in die Bonbonmanufaktur werfen. Dann gehts steil hinauf über teils felsige Pfade über den Steinernen Tisch zur Bastei. Hier herrscht immer viel Menschenandrang. Es empfiehlt sich, sehr früh oder spät zu sein, sonst kann man wegen all der Selfie-Knipser kaum die beeindruckenden Aussichten genießen. Wir waren morgens um 10 leider auch schon zu spät. Zurück haben wir den Abstieg über Rathen gewählt, um an der Elbe zurückzuspazieren. Tipp: Einkehrmöglichkeite gibt es an der Bastei zu genüge (Klassische Touri-Lokale). Netter ist am Endpunkt meiner Wanderung das private, ruhige winzige Gartencafe, wo man Getränke, Pommes und selbstgemache Eintöpfe bekommt.
