I actually only knew Marlenheim from driving past and the Stephansberg from a distance; the antenna at 320 m altitude is visible from afar. Today, I made a detour to the market and to the mountain. It was worth it.

Alpe Klank über Tiefenbacher Eck
Ich bin ganz froh, in dieser Richtung gelaufen zu sein. Der Aufstieg im Wald war über Wurzelwerk, das vom gestrigen Regen ziemlich glatt war. Da wäre ich ungern runtergelaufen.

How good that it's not as hot in October as in summer. And yet, in Cucuron, I was glad to have overcome the steepest climb. I needed a cool-down, not a dip in the local water basin, but a delicious Kronenbourger. The last leg, with the sun setting, was a real pleasure. A great tour.
