The second stage is dedicated to the garnet that you find around the Millstätter Alpe. For a relaxed hiking experience you can split the stage over several days. On the way you will pass managed huts and the town of Kaning. The individual sections of the day are classified as 'medium-heavy'.It starts at the Schwaigerhütte, from which you walk over the Millstätter Hütte and over the Kamplnock am Kaisersteig to the Obermillstätter Almkreuz at 2,046 meters altitude. On the way, you will always come back to drinking water wells, where you can refresh yourself and enjoy beautiful views of Lake Millstatt. The "garnet-paved" Kaisersteig leads you directly to the most beautiful place in the region - the "Granattor" - where you can let your gaze wander over the entire Millstätter See. From here you walk to Lammersdorfer Hütte, where you can stop.Strengthened it goes over the Rosenkofel and past some huts down to Kaning, where you can spend the night. On the Kneipp and Mühlenwanderweg it then goes to the Petodnighütte. On a paved gravel road you hike in the Langalmtal valley to Erlacherhaus, the destination of the stage.
