According to the instructions, there should be an off-road track next to the road. We tried two different directions, but had to turn around because the paths were steeply uphill and always off the road. The location was very inaccurate due to the mountains. If you follow the road along the campsite for 300m, there is a signposted entrance to a very nice hiking trail in the direction of Vesta, which ends just before an idyllic bathing spot. We didn't make it to Vesta to reach the avenue, a two-hour ferry, because we had to stop for a swim.
