The memorial stone to Fritz von Keller was erected on the edge of the Schwälblesklinge in 1926 by the Stuttgart Beautification Society. It was originally the Fritz-Keller-Brünnele, but the spring feeding the fountain failed due to the residential development later built uphill. The Brünnele was therefore converted into a memorial stone. The fountain, or rather the memorial stone, commemorates the chairman of the Beautification Society, who headed the association from 1900 to 1923, i.e., for 23 years until his death, after the death of Heinrich von Fischbach. Von Keller was a member of the Reichstag from 1887 to 1889. When he was appointed commander of the Royal Württemberg Forestry and Tax Guard, he resigned his seat in the Reichstag. He ended his professional career in 1920 as president of the Württemberg Forestry Directorate.

Well-walled stream where the blade meanders down the valley.
Unfortunately there is hardly any water available at the moment.

Rock overhang in Schwälblesklinge

Highlight • Natural Monument

The path is short, but very varied and well signposted. Sometimes you feel like you are on the Alb, but you are on the outskirts of Stuttgart. That's really special.
