This round tour takes you on flat paths to unique natural jewels near Dülmen. The fascinating nature reserves and parks, such as the Dülmen Wildlife Park and the Welter Bachauen, lie along the route, strung like pearls on a string. It starts at the parking lot at the water tower in Dülmen. From there, the Hinderkingsweg takes you directly to the picturesque wildlife park, where you can meet wild fallow deer and red deer. You cycle through shady forest areas, across wide meadows and past shimmering ponds. After you have crossed the motorway, you drive on well-developed paths through an open cultural landscape. After about eleven kilometers there is the opportunity to take a detour to the last remaining wild horse track on the European continent; However, pay attention to the opening times when visiting. Around 400 horses live in the Merfelder Bruch all by themselves, at any time of the year and without additional feeding. Then you drive on to Merfeld. North of the village, you can look forward to a colorful spectacle: In May and June, countless rhododendron bushes bloom near Welte in the middle of the forest - a truly magical sight. Then you cycle through Welte and a short time later you reach the Welter Bach nature reserve. With a little luck you can spot Galloway cattle or even the colorful kingfisher in the wide floodplains. Past wide fields you go back to Dülmen, where you can visit the church of St. Viktor or the Lüdinghauser Tor at the end of your tour.
