🇨🇿(🇬🇧👇) 🇯🇵🛴 Den 53: Celý den v dešti, nádherné výhledy, dlouhý onsen a nejlepší ramen 🌧️⛰️♨️🍜

🇬🇧🇯🇵🛴 Day 53: All Day in the Rain, Beautiful Views, a Long Onsen Break, and the Best Ramen 🌧️⛰️♨️🍜
🌧️ According to the forecast, today was supposed to be very rainy. And somehow, it ended up being even rainier than promised. It rained practically all day, and at times, really heavily.
🛖 In the morning, I packed up my completely soaked tent and headed to Ainokura, the third of the historic UNESCO villages. And in the end, I think I liked this one the most out of all three. Traditional houses, hardly any people, and mountains all around with mist rising from them. An incredible atmosphere.
⛰️ Then I continued through beautiful scenery along a reservoir surrounded by forested mountains. I honestly don’t understand how it can keep being this beautiful here. 😂
♨️ Just as the rain started getting heavier, I reached Taira Fureai Onsen, with a beautiful view over the reservoir.
🌧️ After my soak, I had lunch and planned to set off during the promised break in the rain. Except instead of a break, an absolute torrential downpour arrived. So I went to the onsen for a second time. 😂
🛴 Originally, I had planned to make it all the way to Kanazawa today, but the weather gradually forced me to shorten my route. In the end, I didn’t leave the onsen until around four and only made it to Nanto. Of course, it was raining again, but the ride was pleasant – mostly downhill, with light traffic and plenty of tunnels, although luckily this time they were mostly those semi-open ones. And once again, the views were beautiful.
🍜 I arrived after dark, soaking wet and absolutely starving. I even postponed my shower and went straight out to find food first. And I had the best ramen I’ve ever eaten. Yuuuum! 😋
