Went very well, except sections where I alerted the route to bring us closer to the coast. Didn't happen. Deep sand, overgrown or private land. Day one was all day on the road except the U turns at dead ends. Great lunch though, sardines, tomatoes salad and a glass of wine.
Wednesday much better. Lots of cycle tracks and board walks, lunch was McDs, but OK. That meant we had an appetite when we went out. Delicious restaurant as recommended by reception. Steak is the speciality, seafood last night though. Going back tonight after the Fado and will try the steak then.
I fell off the bike twice yesterday. The first when we were on those pesky sand tracks. Front wheel went deep into sand, bike stopped and I was elected, but landed on my feet. Second time not so clever. The bike went from under me, I grabbed for the board walk rope but just slid down it while rubbing against my forearm. Result a beaut of a bruise.
Fado tonight. Then steak 😋
