Quite a varied ride today with some wide crushed stone path, some singletrack and some highway with considerable climbing. A cool sunny day made it comfortable in long sleeves and jackets. Little of the trail today was along the Erie canal, but scenery through the woods was quite nice. Many streams and rivers running freely making a welcome contrast to dry Colorado. Beavers were in evidence downing one large try across the track. Also encountered a survivalist camp right out of Deliverence complete with hostile inhabitants yelling foul insults at us as we pedalled by.
