We brought our small dog with us. He has some special needs so we didn't go too far (we didn't make it to the shore). It was still worth it though - a nice moderate hike with a good mix of uphill and downhill. Terrain is mostly rocky but some parts of the trail are flat or consisting of mostly tree root. Makes for an interesting hike. We saw a couple frogs and some fungi along the way too!
