Ikonischer Aufstieg in Slowenien.
Der Vršič-Pass ist mit 1.611 Metern der höchste Straßenpass Sloweniens und ein absolutes Highlight für Rennradfahrer und Tourenradler.
Der Pass wurde von den Russen im Ersten Weltkrieg von Hand gebaut. Ursprünglich bestand der gesamte Straßenbelag aus Kopfsteinpflaster. Jetzt sind nur noch die Kurven auf der Nordseite (Kranska Gora) mit Kopfsteinen gepflastert.
