More road, less path. Hafu started the morning barking and shifting around every few minutes, making it obvious he wasn't happy. We gave him an extra walk. It worked.
The riding was harder and the scenery less interesting. By late morning we'd had enough and pulled into a gas station to eat. Nothing special on the menu, but sitting on the ground in a strip of shade, not moving, reset everything.
The afternoon was better. Some decent paths, and we ended at a campsite bungalow we'd booked in advance. It turned out to be a very good call, but we didn't fully understand why until that night.
