Jirisan Mountain Hwagae Market Place Loop

It was approaching 7:00 AM when I pulled into the car park of Hwagae. The sun hadn’t yet risen above the eastern ranges of the Jirisan Mountains. It had rained heavily for the last few days, and the welcome blue skies in the morning meant it was going to be a sweaty hike. Located on the southern foothills of Jirisan Mountains, the trail was engulfed by Korean pine trees from south to north and then oak trees from the trail junction down to Beopha Village to the east. From Beopha Village, it was an easy stroll to Hwagae Market Place, where I restocked on supplies at Lotte Super.
