A scenic cycle along the riverside then steep incline up into Leigh Woods, glorious woodland on that uphill though. The path is decrepit so they advise to dismount which was fine with me as I'm not THAT fit yet... Plus it was leg day at the gym yesterday! Top of the hill you break out into the car park but directly left you'll see the blue sign for Yer Tiz and join the track at the perfect start point. It flows mellow for quite a way before the rollers and berms get going. There's a nice break in the 2 mile track where you join the broad flat pathway that pedestrians use and a chance to really hammer it. Keep an eye out on the left for the blue sign to return to Yer Tiz for lots of fun swoopy bends and turns. This track is amazing for the returns you get for very little uphill. If you started at the car park, you could ride it for weeks! It's so easy to get your breath back from the short incline whilst riding on because it's cleverly designed to be a lot of free wheeling. Such a well thought out track. And totally inclusive to all as well.
Even the ride back to car has National Cycleway use of paths and pavements so there's a smooth tarmac return without being on the road. Lovely 10 miler.
