Ausgangspunkt für die Wanderung war Gairlochy. Von dort aus ging es eine kurze Wanderung zu einem kleinen Leuchtturm. Von dort aus dann immer entlang des Kanals bis nach Fort Wiliam. Alles gut beschildert und eben. Bis zu den Schleusen jedoch keine Versorgungsmöglichkeit.
