Im Freilichtmuseum stehen über 40 historische Gebäude, überwiegend Fachwerk und Reet gedeckt. Häuser, die im Umland abgebaut und im Museum originalgetreu wieder hergestellt wurden. Es wird das Landleben in Handwerk und Landwirtschaft vom 17. bis ins 20. Jahrhundert gezeigt. Die "Königsberger Straße" wurde 2023 gebaut und bietet einen Einblick in die 1950er bis 1970er Jahre. Ein Besuch ist zu jeder Zeit lohnenswert.
