From Pharmacy Run to Forest Adventure: A Day in the Heat

What started as a quick pharmacy run on a scorching 37°C day turned into a full summer bike adventure.
I left Dietendorf and rode through Grasmanndorf, Oberharnsbach, Unterneuses and finally Burgheberach.
I passed by the Steigerwaldklinik and slipped behind the helipad, entering the forest paths of the Wald Erlebnis Burgheberach.
The heat was intense, but the shade of the woods felt like a small rescue.
Deep in the forest I found Liegedeck, a hidden wooden deck with curved loungers — a place to lie back, look up at the treetops and breathe for a moment.
After that, I continued to the Aussichtsturm for a panoramic view and a few photos.
Back in Burgheberach, I stopped at Rewe for a cold non‑alcoholic Blutorange Radler, then headed to Gelateria Dolomiti to greet Enzo. An espresso, a cup of organic Heidelberg ice cream - and finally I took the chance to stop by the pharmacy.
And the day felt complete.I rode home through the hills and ended with 22.4 km — a simple errand turned into a full day of discovery.
